Loopily

Terms of Use

Last updated 1 September 2026

The short version: Loopily is a routine timer you run on your own device, under your own steam. There's no account to misuse and no service of ours to take down, so these terms mostly cover the App Store subscription (Loopily Plus) and the usual limits on liability for a tool that helps you keep time.

Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Use govern your download, installation and use of Loopily (“the app”), made available on the Apple App Store. By installing or using Loopily, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree to them, don't use the app.

Loopily is distributed through the App Store, so Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to your use of the app. Where these terms and Apple's standard EULA overlap, these terms take precedence for anything specific to Loopily; Apple's terms govern everything else about how the App Store works.

What Loopily is

Loopily turns routines you define — a morning, an evening, a weekend — into a clock you follow one step at a time, with checklists, a calendar view, and estimates that improve as you use it. All of that runs locally on your device. There is no account, no sign-in, and no server of ours involved in running your routines — see the Privacy Policy for the full detail on what stays on-device.

License to use the app

Subject to these terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use Loopily on Apple devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse-engineer or create derivative works from the app, except to the extent applicable law gives you the right to do so despite this restriction.

Your routines and content

Everything you type into Loopily — routine names, steps, checklist items, schedules and run history — is yours. Because that data lives only on your device and we never receive a copy of it, we have no ability to access, back up, moderate or restore it. If you delete the app, reset your device, or don't have iCloud backup switched on, that data is gone, and we have no way to get it back for you.

Loopily Plus subscription

Loopily is free to use with up to two routines. Loopily Plus is an optional auto-renewable subscription that removes that limit and unlocks checklists, the full calendar, on-the-spot timing and time history.

Loopily Plus is sold and billed entirely by Apple through the App Store, using StoreKit. That means:

  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase, and the subscription renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Your Apple ID account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period, at the price you agreed to when subscribing.
  • You manage and cancel subscriptions in your device's App Store account settings, not inside Loopily — we have no way to cancel, pause or refund a subscription on your behalf.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple under its own policies. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
  • If Loopily offers a free trial, unused portions are forfeited if you purchase a subscription during the trial, as Apple's subscription rules require.

We may change Loopily Plus's price or feature set for future billing periods; where required, Apple will notify you and get your consent before a price increase takes effect on your subscription.

Acceptable use

Use Loopily for what it's built for: timing your own routines. Don't attempt to interfere with the app's operation, work around Loopily Plus's purchase or licensing mechanisms, or use the app in any way that violates Apple's App Store terms.

Timing accuracy and no professional advice

Loopily helps you follow a schedule, but step durations, estimates and notification timing depend on your device's clock, background processing and notification permissions, which are outside our control. Loopily is not a substitute for an alarm you rely on for anything safety-critical, and nothing in the app constitutes medical, health or professional advice — routines you build around habits, medication, or exercise are your judgment call to make, not ours.

Intellectual property

Loopily's name, icon, logo and in-app design are owned by us and protected by copyright and trademark law. These terms don't grant you any rights to our branding beyond referring to the app by name.

Disclaimer of warranties

Loopily is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don't guarantee the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every notification will fire exactly on time on every device and iOS version.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of, or inability to use, Loopily — including a missed routine, a notification that didn't arrive, or local data lost when the app is deleted or a device is reset. Where liability can't be excluded by law, it's limited to the amount you paid us, if any, in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Third-party services

Loopily relies on Apple's frameworks — StoreKit for purchases, UserNotifications for local reminders, ActivityKit for Live Activities — to work. Your use of those underlying services is also subject to Apple's own terms, which we don't control and aren't responsible for.

Changes to the app or these terms

We may update Loopily's features over time, and may update these terms to reflect that. If we make a material change, we'll update the “last updated” date above. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Termination

You can stop using Loopily at any time by deleting the app from your device, and cancel Loopily Plus at any time through your App Store account settings. We may suspend or discontinue the app, or your access to it, if you materially breach these terms or if we stop offering Loopily altogether — if we do the latter, it won't affect a Loopily Plus period you've already paid for.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, without prejudice to any statutory consumer protections you're entitled to in the country where you live.
